so i had to attend work's bi-monthly, wine tasting session yesterday.

and according to one sophisticated palate, "The red wine had a 'minerally' taste at the end. You know, like crushed rocks."

no, i don't know.

yesterday, at the paradiz centre yong tau fu stall,

i saw a fishball roll off the display shelf and onto the floor.
i also saw a man walk by and kick it with his shoe

then i saw the cleaning auntie (holding a dirty cloth in her not very clean hands)
bend down to pick it up.

then i saw her pass it to the auntie at the stall (who didn't have very clean fingers either)

then i saw the stall auntie put it back on the shelf and look around suspiciously to see if anyone saw her do it.

i could have stared her scared or got up and complained
but i continued eating my yong tau fu and convinced myself that the fishball would get boiled later anyway and all the germs will die.

what's with spelling it both programme and program in the same news bulletin?

same with VJC.
my sister's got a compilation of recommended GP essays written by students and the one on globalisation interchanges the s and z throughout the entire essay.
that'll definitely get you an A.

can we please stick with either british english or american english?
all this international english is just confusing

going to church and clubbing are kinda like the same things
a whole lotta people coming together to celebrate
music, life, love and passion.

except that clubbing's never made me want to cry.

there's something intensely moving when an entire congregation
starts singing away in the manger at midnight mass.

maybe i'm too used to going to church only at funerals
or maybe i'm tired of that empty connection you get from grinding random bodies on the dance floor.

but my first midnight mass in i-can't-even-remember how long
was something special...

... even if i did leave during communion
to go dancing at another random club.

i love my baby

kip was napping in the bedroom today
and maria was standing at the door calling his name
he didn't even lift his head to look at her.

maria: "kip doesn't respond to his name."

so i cooed: "kippy boy."

and he rolled over, looked straight at me and meowed good morning.

made my day.
